Adversary Simulation

Adversary simulation focuses on emulating specific threat actors relevant to your industry - testing whether your defenses can detect and respond to targeted TTPs.

What We Assess

Actor TTP Detection

Measure alert coverage against TTPs of threat actors mapped in MITRE ATT&CK.

SIEM Efficacy

Verify log parser rules, event correlation, and alert generation in SIEM.

EDR Detection

Test Endpoint Detection & Response coverage against modern bypass methods.

SOC Response Quality

Benchmark Security Operations Center response time and analyst triage quality.

Threat Hunting Efficacy

Test internal capability to hunt down quiet, persistent threat behaviors.

How QuasarCyberTech Delivers

A structured delivery sequence that converts assessment insights into measurable resilience outcomes.

01

Threat Profiling

Identify the most relevant threat actors and map their TTPs using MITRE ATT&CK.

02

Reconnaissance

Conduct OSINT, map external infrastructure, and research personnel.

03

Simulation

Execute simulated attacks, from initial phishing access to post-exploitation lateral movement.

04

Purple Team Debrief

Jointly review detection gaps and defensive responses with your internal team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions for Adversary Simulation.

Adversary simulation is a highly targeted exercise where we emulate the specific tools, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of known threat groups. We focus on actors that specifically target your industry or geographic region, providing a highly relevant test of your defenses. This allows you to prepare for the specific types of attacks you are most likely to face in the real world.

We map all of our simulation activities to the MITRE ATT&CK matrix to provide a standardized view of the attack lifecycle. This allows us to show exactly which tactics and techniques were successful and where your specific defensive gaps exist. Using this framework makes it easy to communicate findings to both technical teams and executive leadership.

TTP stands for Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures, representing the behavioral patterns of an attacker. Rather than just using generic malware, we emulate the exact tradecraft of advanced persistent threats (APTs) to see if your defenses can spot sophisticated behavior. This level of simulation is the best way to test the effectiveness of your advanced detection tools and SOC team.

We intentionally trigger specific attacks and then work with your SOC team to review your SIEM logs and alerting rules. We identify which attacks generated high-fidelity alerts, which were missed, and how to tune your rules for better detection coverage. This collaborative process directly improves your ability to spot and stop real attacks in progress.

Yes, by injecting known, safe adversary behavior into your network, your threat hunting teams can practice finding stealthy actors in a controlled environment. This helps them refine their hypotheses and tools, making them much more effective at finding real threats that have evaded automated alerts. It transforms your defense from reactive to proactive.
